
Based out of sunny Florida, Laura Douglas is a classically trained artist whose primary medium is acrylic painting. With over 15 years of experience, she specializes in creating vibrant and textural paintings in an expressionist style. She studied at Fredonia State University and acquired her Bachelors of Fine Art degree in 2009.
Her current body of work is focused on Florida‘s native bird species and ocean-life inspired scenes. Laura offers commission work and showcases her diverse range of styles, textures, and use of color on social media, sharing short clips of her artistic process and finished paintings.
In 2025, Laura started a monthly print club, sending 5”x7” fine art prints to art lovers around the US. This club has become a very special passion project for her. The link is above for Nature’s Wild Print Club if you’d like to join her growing art community.
She also began holding Paint & Sip events at a local restaurant in Flagler beach, where she gives a two hour step-by -step instruction in painting a vibrant scene for beginners and enthusiast. She holds these events once a month, second Wednesday of the month. Event information is linked above.
Laura is a mom of two young energetic kids who love to participate in her creative process. Her work is highly reflective of their adventurous activities and life inspirations. She works out of a small studio in her home and creates in any spare moment she can find.
